[LG TV Screen] The sound works okay, but the screen does not appear.

Causes and Symptoms

  • The cable connected to the external device has a problem.
The image does not come out on the screen and the sound is normal

If you are experiencing the following issues, it is advisable to contact LG Electronics service technician for further troubleshooting support.

Even if the remote control volume is adjusted, the screen volume is not displayed or the image is blurred

Have you tried adjusting the volume with the TV remote?

➔ If the volume is displayed correctly, check the cable connected to the external device.

Reconnecting the HDMI cable

Turn off the power of the TV and external device, disconnect the HDMI cable on the back of the TV, and reconnect it.
Also, remove the HDMI cable from the external device and reconnect it, if feasible.
It is recommended to use an authentic HDMI cable to connect your TV with the external device. (Version 2.0)

Resetting the set-top box

If you can see the set-top box menu or broadcast information, but the broadcast screen does not appear, reset the power of the set-top box.

Set-top box errors may result in no screen even when the device is powered on.
Turn off the power switch on the back of the set-top box, wait for 5 seconds, and turn it on again.
