LG Dishwasher - Not cleaning

  • Food residue on the dishes

  • Check the filters.

  • Filters maybe clogged and need to be cleaned.

  • If the spray arm holes are blocked by food residue, dishes may not be cleaned due to improper water spray.

  • Clean the spray arms.

  • Large particles of food residue should be removed from the dishes before starting the wash.

  • Make sure that items do not touch each other.

  • Deep based items should be placed upside down.

  • Do not obstruct the rotation of the spray arms.

  • The separators on the cutlery rack help keep utensils separated, avoid damage, and improve cleaning.

  • The amount of detergent needed depends on the cycle, load size, and soil level of dishes.

  • Refer to the owner's manual for detailed information.

  • If a prewash is desired, fill the recessed prewash compartment area, on the lid, with detergent.

  • Select correct cycle based on soil level and type of dishware being washed.

  • Refer to owner's manual.


  • Water drops or stains are left on the dishes

  • The Rinse Aid indicator appears in the display when more rinse aid is needed.

  • The use of rinse aid is recommended to prevent water spots on dishes and to enhance drying performance.


  • White spots or lines on the dishes

  • For effective washing performance, adjust the setting corresponding to the hardness level of water used in water supply.

  • Refer to the owner's manual for detailed information.
