Stay Away at all Costs!
This dryer has been nothing but problems since the day I purchased it. I miss my $350 25 year old dryer.
First of all, the sensor thinks it is smart. It is NOT. I will go to my office after starting a load of towels, only to walk back into the laundry room an hour later and the dryer has STOPPED on its own. This happens dozens of times each month wasting precious hours of my time. Frustrating doesn’t even cover it.
Secondly, it consistently throws off a Clean Filter error despite the filter, hose on back of unit, filter unit inside dryer being clean. Tonight I am trying to get laundry done for a trip . . . And I am without a dryer because THIS dryer thinks its filter needs cleaning - which it doesn’t. I am actually drying my clothes with a hair dryer so they can be packed. It’s 2024 LG! Why doesn’t your dryer work??
Lastly - This unit is just consistently unreliable. I stopped until the “app” about 3 weeks after getting the unit years ago. Just unreliable.
I have wasted so much time on this dryer that thinks it is smarter than it really is (is isn’t smart at all) - so when I see the words efficient, reliable and time saving - it laughable.

Graphite Steel is not the same as Black Stainless Steel, hence the different names for the finishes!

Why does there always seem to be a shortage of WDP5V Graphite Steel Laundry Pedestals? I have tried multiple times to buy a washer & dryer combo set at Costco, and they always state that the pedestals are out of stock. Your own website is out of stock.

The LG Laundry Pedestal - Graphite Steel, Model # WDP5V, is not only compatible with current LG washers and dryers with a 29" width but is also compatible with select LG washers and dryers with 29" widths since 2009 so they tend to sell out quickly.
It is the only pedestal we make for LG washers and dryers with a 29" width so we expect to have it back in stock soon.
Depending on your ZIP code (i.e., your location), the pedestal may show as out of stock for your area, but it still shows as being in stock in the area we used to check for availability.

Washer WM9000HVA, specs list 41-1/4" high, 6" clearance above. Is the 6" mandatory? I would like to install with only 3/4" space above. Any problem with that?

The specifications on the product detail page for the ENERGY STAR® Most Efficient/ ENERGY STAR® Certified LG 5.2 cu. Ft. Large Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Front Load Washer TurboWash®, Model # WM9000HVA, list a height of 41 1/4" for the washer, but they do not list a clearance height above the washer.
The washer's recommended installation clearances are found in its owner's manual. On page 12, the manual recommends a 6-inch clearance above the washer.
This recommendation ensures sufficient clearance for airflow around the washer based on the recommended installation clearances for the sides and rear to avoid moisture issues that might lead to mold and mildew issues if the space is too tight...^ivan.
