When cold weather continues, the water supply hose or the drain hose, in which water flows inside the washer, may freeze.
The washer can be thawed by pouring hot water into the drum.
However, if you open the drain pump filter when the washer is not completely thawed, the handle of the drain pump filter may separate.
This is because the water in the drain pump is frozen.
Try this
Use hot water to thaw the washer.
➔ Melt any ice in the drum and drain hose and check if the washer operates normally.
If no water comes out, then it means the ice has not melted sufficiently. Wait a little longer to drain the water.
Do not use boiling water as it can cause serious injuries. Only use warm water.
Take out the drain pump filter from the washer.
➔ Use a wrench to hold onto the protruded part of the drain pump filter and turn it to remove it.
If removing the pump filter is difficult, thaw the washer one more time, following the above steps.
If you cannot remove the pump filter due to damage to the protruded part, professional assistance is necessary. Please request a service visit.
① Place the spring inside the center of the drain pump filter.
