Causes and Symptoms
- The robot vacuum cleaner doesn't return to the charging station for charging.
- The robot vacuum cleaner keeps moving around the charging station.
When it finishes cleaning, it will automatically return to the charging station for charging.
If it runs out of batteries during cleaning, it will still automatically return to the charging station for
charging.
However, if the power cord of the charging station is unplugged, or if there are obstacles around it, it may
not return to the charging station.
Try this
Do you see the red light on the front of the charging station? Is there a protective film on the LED indicator?
➔ Check if the LED indicator of the charging station is lit. If there is any, remove the protective film.
The front LED indicator indicates the power status of the charging station.
To have the Roboking to return to the charging station after receiving the signal (infrared) from the
charging station, the power of the charging station must be turned on.
If the LED indicator doesn't light up, check if the power cord is plugged in properly. Remove any foreign
objects or protective film on the indicator.
If you use a power strip, then also check the power strip cord and the circuit breaker switch.
If you don't remove the protective film attached to the charging station, the signal (infrared) may not work
properly.
Be sure to remove the protective film before use.
Does it bump into the charging station frequently? Or does it keep climbing onto the charging station?
➔ Remove any foreign objects on the surface of the charging ports (metal) of the product and the charging station.
If there is a foreign object between the ports, the charger may not be detected.
Use a dry mop pad or an eraser to remove any debris.
➔ Remove foreign objects or dust in the signal sensor or dust sensor.
If the signal sensor or dust sensor in the charging station is clogged by foreign objects or dust, it may
not find the charging station.
Remove any foreign objects or dust.
➔ Secure the charging station against the wall to prevent it from moving, and keep the power cord organized.
Are there any obstacles within 1m around the area where the charging station is installed?
➔ Keep clear of any obstacles around the charging station.
Obstacles around the charging station may interfere with the charging station's infrared signal or access to
the charging station.
Keep clear of obstacles such as sofas, chairs, mats, etc. at least 50 cm to the left and right sides of the
charging station.
Keep clear of any obstacles at least 1m in front of the charging station.
If the robot vacuum cleaner has a difficulty in moving to the charging station, then move the
charger.
If the charging station is not placed on a flat surface or if there is an obstacle, such as a door
threshold, around it, the robot vacuum cleaner may not return to the charging station.
Also, make sure to have enough space around the charging station.
The vacuum cleaner may bump into obstacles with high-gloss surfaces or glassy surfaces like mirrors, as the
sensor may not detect them.
If the charging station is placed under direct sunlight, move it to a different place.
Is your robot vacuum cleaner unable to find the charging station and does it keep getting lost?
➔ Start cleaning while the robot vacuum cleaner is in the charging station.
When it starts cleaning from the charging station, it captures an image of the ceiling to record the location of the charging station. So if you allow the robot vacuum cleaner to start cleaning from the charging station, it may find the charging station more easily.
If it moves along the wall to find the charging station, you may think that it's lost. However, it's a normal movement.
