FACT SHEET

LG BUSINESS INNOVATION CENTER

LOS ANGELES

LG Business Solutions USA’s new 7,500-square-foot Business Innovation Center, which opened in Los Angeles in early 2022, features advanced displays and technology solutions for virtually every healthcare-related space.

Welcome Zone

Visitors are greeted in a mock hospital lobby adorned with LG’s LAEC015 All-In-One direct-view LED (DVLED) display, an automatic door made of 55EW5G LG Transparent OLED displays, the LSAA015 cable-less LG LED Bloc display and an access control terminal. The LG CLOi GuideBot* robot is there to greet visitors.

The 136-inch DVLED display in the Welcome Zone features a built-in speaker and controller, while offering simple installation and high-definition clarity. The sliding doors show how Transparent OLED can create eye-catching possibilities and ensure a sophisticated first impression for visitors. The LED Bloc screen features cable-less interlocking LED panels, simplifying installation of large-format displays. The access control terminal on display there is designed to detect whether the person is wearing a mask.

Nurse Station Zone

As an integral part of patient care, LG’s intelligent nurse station system brings digitalization to medical workers with a dashboard and monitoring system that provides important updates at a glance while systematically managing patient requests. The 34BP88U LG UltraWide™ Ergo monitor helps maximize productivity by allowing hospital staff to look up multiple requests at once thanks to a wide screen and a flexible stand that allows easy adjustment to share the screen with colleagues.

A cloud-based LG All-in-One Thin Client (model 24CN670NK) allows medical professionals to safely and securely log in with their ID tags to access information and resources from a protected data center. Adding value to nearly any cloud-based business environment, both All-in-One and Desktop-type solutions support many different virtual desktop infrastructures such as Citrix, VMWare, AWS and Microsoft RDP, enhancing security and productivity while also saving operators space and money.

LG’s Thin Clients are loaded with IGEL OS, a secure endpoint operating system that provides rich employee experiences and reliable multi-protocol connectivity to VDI, DaaS and SaaS workspaces. Medical professionals’ benefit from virtually instant access to patient records, apps and data in a secure way, regardless of location, with the support of Unified Communications. Coupled with the IGEL management platform, IT can deliver robust and standardized endpoints that help deliver good patient outcomes.

Back Office Zone

The Back Office Zone features LG Cloud Devices in several form factors, highlighting how they can replace existing workstations to efficiently utilize desk space for a clean and comfortable environment. With LG Cloud Devices, additional devices for meetings are no longer necessary thanks to the built-in pop-up webcam and integrated speakers. Hanging on a partition wall is a monitor with a built-in webcam for simple videoconferencing.

Another highlight is a drawer-type version of the LG CLOi ServeBot* robot, showing its utility for hospitals and offices as it reliably delivers documents sequentially to multiple destinations with self-driving technology. Plus, the robot’s control system allows administrators to monitor the robot and manage its delivery remotely.

LG gram Lounge Zone

The lounge area exhibits the impressive range of LG gram laptops, known for its ultra-lightweight, sleek design. Multiple sizes and versions are on display, highlighting LG’s vast catalog and conveying that there is an ideal LG product for virtually every healthcare need. Every LG gram laptop comes with a battery life that lasts up to 18 hours* and an ultra-fast processor that packs a punch.

Consulting Room Zone

The flexible LG Ergo monitor with a rotating display makes it easier than ever to share on-screen images with sitting patients, since it allows medical professionals to extend displays outward or contract them nearly all the way back to the wall. The UltraWide Ergo monitor provides a wide aspect ratio of 21:9, while UltraFine Ergo monitor boasts highly-detailed 4K imagery that displays even some of the smallest and finest of details.

Also on display in the Consulting Room is LG’s 43-inch One:Quick Flex device that enhances communication between doctor and patient thanks to its built-in camera, microphone, speaker and easy-to-use Windows OS supporting a variety of app installations, while its useful whiteboard feature leverages the device’s responsive touch capability. The One:Quick Flex can be placed on an optional mobile stand (sold separately), so it can be moved from one space to another easily.

Meeting Room and Telemedicine Zone

Ideal for healthcare administrative settings, LG’s all-in-one display, One:Quick Works, brings virtually seamless communication to work meetings. Supporting most Windows-based software, this feature-packed display fosters better remote and in-person collaboration through its excellent video conferencing capabilities and in-cell touch screen.

The Meeting Room features a compact, LG ProBeam 4K Laser projector delivering 5000 ANSI lumens brightness, which can project a viewable area from 40 to 300 inches measured diagonally. While some projectors used in meeting rooms only provide WXGA or WUXGA resolution, the increased detail of 4K resolution helps assure ultra-clear legibility for critical graphics including X-rays, sales figures, graphs or charts.

Also featured here is LG One:Quick Share, the wireless screen-sharing device compatible with select LG digital signage models. With this USB accessory on hand, professionals can effortlessly mirror their personal PC screen to compatible LG digital signage displays through an easy initial setup, as well as manage the basic functions such as volume, picture mode and brightness of the paired LG digital signage products.

Operating Room Zone

The Operating Room education zone shows how LG Surgical Monitors with advanced IPS panels and non-glare options deliver high-quality images to ensure image clarity during surgery. Thanks to their 178-degree viewing angle, the LG Surgical Monitors on display allow surgeons to see multiple signals at once, while screen mirroring makes it possible for nearly every member of the medical staff to share their view of the scene. The room demonstrates how displays can be hung on walls, mounted to ceiling-based arms or connected to mobile carts.

For demanding operating room environments, LG designed easy-to-clean and reliable 27- and 32-inch surgical monitors with an IP35 rating on the front, and IP32 on the back, which helps protect the screen from bodily fluids. (For information about the IP rating system, see the IEC 60529 standard for classifying ingress protection.)

Reading Room Zone

A medical diagnosis requires clear and precise images that can only be delivered by high-quality monitors. The LG Diagnostic Monitor delivers crystal-clear images with resolution up to 12 megapixels. Three models – the 31HN713D, 32HL512D and 21HQ513D  – offer specialized modes for medical professionals to utilize, including pathology mode and focus view mode.

Image review is optimized by rear-mounted lights that reduce the contrast between the monitor and ambient room lighting. For the same reason, it also features a backlight brightness stability sensor that automatically compensates for fluctuations in brightness caused by aging. Some models include a front sensor that permits self-calibration without the need for additional measuring equipment.

X-ray Scan Room Zone

The LG Digital X-ray Detector provides clear, high-quality X-ray images at low radiation levels.. It is also compatible with existing X-ray systems and boasts outstanding portability and durability. When combined with the post-imaging processing technology of LG’s X-ray Acquisition Software, LG’s Digital X-ray Detector can translate images quickly and smoothly.

The X-ray Scan Room also showcases LG Clinical Review Monitors displaying X-ray images. These monitors have been designed to help doctors cross-check and analyze information by providing them with high-quality images, realistic color expression and amazing contrast levels.

Patient Room Zone

For patient rooms, LG comes out swinging with the Arm TV that provides a 15-inch multi-touch entertainment display that allows patients to enjoy gaming, TV shows, films and more right alongside their hospital bed. LG smart hospital TVs in various sizes are UL Healthcare listed, and they are based on the LG Pro:Centric platform that allows healthcare providers to customize the in-room viewing experience with exclusive content and channels.

This zone shows how medical staff can move the Digital X-ray Detector to the patient’s room with ease if that patient cannot move. And thanks to its lightweight design, combined with LG’s Acquisition Workstation Software, a scanned image can be transmitted to the LG gram located just a few yards away, ready to be checked by doctors or medical staff immediately.

The LG Cloud Device proves useful inside the patient’s room as well, since it allows nurses to use just one device and not have to carry paper documents everywhere. Healthcare workers can now simply use their ID cards to access the hospital cloud and check patients’ medical information effortlessly.

Healthcare Solutions Zone

Here, visitors discover innovative and cutting-edge LG smart healthcare solutions, including an app that will collect data from various monitoring devices so medical professionals and patients can access data at a glance, courtesy of a web-based dashboard. With simple access to the full volume of collected biometric data, medical consultation can be simplified and data accuracy strengthened.
