There’s been a lot of buzz lately about BiFacial solar panel technology, with good reason. BiFacial
panels capture light from above and below, generating energy from reflected light absorbed from the
ground, a reflective roof or other surface, a neighboring row of PV panels—or even snow. If your
solar project calls for tilt-mount panels on the ground, a patio awning or roof, and you plan to use

Cello Technology™
All LG Solar NeON® 2 panels, including our BiFacial panels, feature Cello (Cell connection with
Electrically Low loss, Low stress, and Optical absorption enhancement) Technology™. This
award-winning technology was developed by LG to increase power output and efficiency, while
improving panel appearance.
Cello Technology™ incorporates 12 circular-shaped wires. Energy loss is reduced because electrons can
flow more freely through the panel. The added electrical pathways boost output and efficiency, as
fewer electrons are lost in the absorption process. Higher energy yields are also experienced if the
cells are exposed to micro-cracking, due to the strategic layout of wires.
Double-sided Cell Structure
LG Solar’s NeON® 2 BiFacial solar panels feature a double-sided cell structure with emitters on both
sides. The panels have glass on the front side and a transparent EVA backsheet on the back. This
improves light absorption and improves energy generation, increasing ROI.
BiFacial Gain
The additional power gained from the back of the double-sided cells in our BiFacial panels changes
the electrical values of the panel. Voltage and current all increase proportionally with the power
boost. This is known as the “BiFacial gain.”
Low Light Induced Degradation (LID)
Because our NeON® 2 BiFacial panels are manufactured with N-type wafers, they experience extremely
low LID rates.
Outstanding Durability
All LG Solar panels feature a reinforced frame design that allows for a strong load. The LG NeON® 2
can withstand a 5400 Pa front load and a 4000 Pa rear load.
