[LG Dishwasher] Guide to Error Codes

Troubleshooting
The product display may show codes to alert the user of an operational error or the activation of a specific feature.
Please note that error and notification codes can differ depending on the product model.

To resolve the issue you are experiencing, please select the relevant error code from the list below.

Causes and Symptoms?

  • An FE/AE(RE) error may occur if the water supply exceeds the standard amount.
  • This error may be caused by oversudsing due to the use of dishwashing liquid.
  • This error may occur if the unit is not level or if the door is not aligned.
  • This error occurs when a leak is detected.
  • Pouring water into the Heat Dry blower causes this error.

When excess water is supplied

FE/AE/RE error is shown on the display as more water than the standard amount has been supplied.
Error code AE is shown on the display.

Try this.

  • Load big plates and pots upside down.
  • Use detergents that have been formulated for dishwasher use. Do not use dishwashing liquid.
  • If the unit is not level, please request service.
  • If the error persists even though the unit is level, please request service.
Wait! Find out more.
When an FE/AE(RE) error occurs, your dishwasher will keep draining to protect the appliance and floor from potential leaks.
If there is no water leaking onto the floor but the error message is displayed, please unplug the dishwasher and request service.
To disconnect the power of a built-in dishwasher: If the plug is behind the unit, use the switch that controls the dishwasher power.
If the dishwasher is connected to a power strip, often hidden behind the cabinet baseboard, turn off the power strip.
Warning!
For models featuring Dynamic Heat Dry
  • Ensure to distinguish between the water softening system cap and the Heat Dry filter cap.
Take note of the two different caps and their locations before handling them.
The two caps are different in size and shape.

  • It is important to avoid confusion.
If you pour water through the Heat Dry blower, leakage may occur.
Double-check and ensure to add water to the water softening system.

※ If you poured water into the Heat Dry blower and your dishwasher is built-in, do not pull out the unit.
To avoid damage to the floor, it is advised to rather request service.
