  1. Locate the model and serial number tag on your appliance and find the QR code.
  2. From the ThinQ app dashboard, tap "Add a device" and then select "Scan QR."
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection.
2. If Your Device Doesn’t Have a QR Code or You Can’t Find it:
  1. Tap "Add a device" from the ThinQ app dashboard.
  2. Ensure your device is plugged in and turned on, then select "Select device."
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to choose your device and connect it to your Wi-Fi network.
  4. Enter your Wi-Fi password and tap "Connect" to finish the setup..

Connecting to ThinQ for Apple iPhone Users:

Download the LG ThinQ app from the App Store.
When opening the app for the first time, ensure you allow notifications to receive updates from your connected product.
Register or Sign-in to the LG ThinQ app.
Choose Your Connection Method:
You can connect your device manually to Wi-Fi or by using the QR code located on the model and serial number tag.
1. Connect Your Appliance to Wi-Fi network by using QR code:
  1. Ensure the app has permission to use your phone camera.
  2. Locate the model and serial number tag on your appliance to find the QR code.
  3. From the ThinQ app dashboard, tap "Add a device" and then select "Scan QR".
2. If Your Device Doesn’t Have a QR Code or You Can’t Find it:
  1. Tap "Add a device" from the ThinQ app dashboard.
  2. Ensure your device is plugged in and turned on, then select "Select device."
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to choose your device and connect it to your Wi-Fi network.
When the Wi-Fi indicator on your device blinks, it will emit a network for connection. Temporarily minimize the ThinQ app and open your iPhone settings.
Access Wi-Fi settings and join the "LG_Smart_XXXX_XXXX" network displayed. The password for this network is the last 4 characters of the network ID, repeated twice (case-sensitive and unique to your device).
Return to the ThinQ app, select your home network’s ID, enter your home Wi-Fi password, and tap "Connect."
