Blank or colored screens normally are due to physical damage causing a cable to come loose or damaging the screen.
Note: Some Settings, Menus, or Icons may differ from that of your device depending on your software version and wireless service provider.
If the steps below do not fix the issue, you can check with your carrier for warranty / insurance options or send the phone to LG for repairs
Press and hold the power button until the phone shuts down, wait 1 minute, turn it on.
If your phone has a removable battery, take the back cover off, take the battery out, wait 1 minute, re assemble the phone and power it back on.
Press and hold the power button until the phone shuts down, connect the phone to the charger while turned off, wait 15 minute before turning it back on.
Use the following steps enter safe mode:
While the phone is turned on, press and hold the Power button.
Tap and hold Power off.
A menu will appear asking the consumer if they would like to reboot their device into safe mode.
Safe mode will appear in the bottom left hand corner if this was done correctly.
With the device in safe mode, consumer can delete the application that was causing the issue or perform a Factory Data Reset.
On older OS versions this process has changed:
Power the device off.
Power the device on while pressing and holding the menu key until phone completely reboots to the main home/lock screen.
Safe mode will appear in the bottom left hand corner if this was done correctly.
With the device in safe mode, consumer can delete the application that was causing the issue or perform a Factory Data Reset.
