LG TV - How to Screen Share on Your TV

LG TVs are equipped with features that make it easy to wirelessly screen share video, photo and audio content from a mobile device or computer.

To set up screen sharing with your LG TV, select the device you would like to pair from the choices below.

• How to share from a laptop or PC
  LG SMART SHARE SOFTWARE

  
  Download LG Smart Share Software (for Windows only).
  NOTE: LG Smart Share is not available for MAC users, please use Airplay 2 or Plex Media Server depending on your LG TV model.

  1 Open your laptop [Settings] menu and navigate to [Systems] > [Display].

  

  NOTE

  Your laptop must be on the same wireless network as your LG TV.

  2 Scroll down to [Multiple Displays] and select [Connect to a Wireless Display].

  

  3 Select the TV you wish to share your screen with.

  

  4 Click [Accept] on your LG TV to allow the request.

  

  5 If the connection was successful, the connected device will appear on your TV screen. If the connection process fails, try performing the steps again.

  

  NOTE

  Wi-Fi speed and distance between the TV and mobile device can affect picture quality and connection lag.
  If you are unhappy with picture size or resolution, try adjusting the [Zoom] and [Display Resolution] settings of the laptop.
• How to share from iOS
  1 Press the HOME button on your LG remote and select AirPlay from the LG Menu.

  NOTE

  Make sure your TV and mobile device are connected to the same Wi-Fi Network. Airplay must be setup and turned on in order to complete screen share. If you need to setup Airplay, click here.

  

  2 On your iPhone, swipe down to access the Control Center.

  

  3 Select “Screen Mirroring” and select your LG TV from the dropdown list. The setting to generate the Airplay code is available in Airplay settings on your iOS device and may be turned off or enabled on a per-use bases.

  

  4 Enter the code that appears on the TV screen. You’re all set!

• How to share from Android
  1 Swipe down on the Quick Access menu and locate “Screen Sharing” or “Smart View.” This feature will vary by phone manufactuter (or not exist at all) and may appear in a different location.

  

  2 Select the desired TV to mirror your device’s screen.

  

  3 That's it! Your are now ready to share your device’s screen and audio on your LG TV.
