What to do if the glass tray is not moving.
Note: Do not operate the microwave when empty or without the glass tray. It is best to leave a glass of water in the microwave when not in use. The water will safely absorb all microwave energy, if the oven is accidentally started.
-
Check that the glass plate locks in on the coupler (shaft turn table). If its damaged most units feature a three-sided coupler (shaft turn table) that easily detaches from the motor shaft.
-
Check that the glass plate sits well on the roller guide (turntable assembly) and nothing obstructs it path. Take out the glass tray in order to check the roller guide (Turntable Assembly) for cracks, wear, or damage. If the roller guide is worn, replace it.
-
Clean the microwave with warm soapy water, including interior walls, the glass plate, the coupler (shaft turn table), and the roller guide (turn table assembly)
-
Lastly it could be the turn table motor, you are able to request a repair to have a tech inspect the unit.
Note: If you remove the motor yourself, it would be an authorized repair and void your warranty.
