Some air conditioners have an auto sleep mode. When the timer is set to turn the unit off, the air conditioner will increase the temperature by 2°F the first ½ hour and then another 2°F after another hour. This will allow a more comfortable adjustment for the user. It is also more efficient because the unit does not have to work as hard during the cooler night time hours.
Note: Not all models have this feature. Refer to your owner’s manual for your specific model to find details about if the unit’s OFF TIMER has an auto sleep mode.
