The air conditioner power plug has an indicator light which can be OFF (No Light), GREEN, or RED (orange).
What is the STATUS (color) of the power plug INDICATOR LIGHT?
OFF Green Red -
Light OFF
Lets check the outlet:
1Reset the GFCI outlet if you have one.
2Check if the circuit breaker was tripped, if so switch back.
3Test if the outlet has power by plugging in another electric device besides the air conditioner like a hair dryer, or electrical clock.
Is the outlet receiving power?
YES NO -
Power - YES
If you have confirmed that the outlet is recieving electrical power, try the following:
1Press RESET on the power plug.
2Power ON the air conditioner from the control panel.
NoteIf the unit does not turn on, the air conditioner is not receiving power. The unit will require a repair service please visit our Request a Repair page.

Since you verified that the outlet is not receiving power we recomend contacting an electrician for further assistance.

Green Light
The air conditioner IS receiving power, lets try to restart it with the following steps:
1Press the TEST button on the power plug.
2Press the RESET button on the power plug.
3Press the POWER button on the control panel.
Did the air conditioner power on?
Yes No -
Power - YES
The air conditioner has a safety relay that may have been tripped causing the power OFF condition.

Red Light
A red light on an LG AC power cord usually indicates a problem with the power connection, like a faulty outlet, incorrect wiring, or a loose connection.
The air conditioner IS receiving power, lets try to restart it with the following steps:
1Unplug and replug the AC back into the outlet.
2Press RESET on the power plug. The indicator light should turn GREEN.
3Press POWER on the air conditioner control panel.
Did the air conditioner power on?
Yes No -
Power - YES
Power should now be restored to the air conditioner.
